Projects

Freedif.org started as a way to give back to the open-source community: fast, free, and reliable mirror infrastructure. But infrastructure is just one piece. This page lists other projects I have built over the years, usually out of a personal frustration with something that did not exist yet.

CrowdPickr: structured scoring for crowdlending investors

Fintech · Methodology · France

CrowdPickr

I have been investing in French crowdlending platforms for a few years. The core problem: each investment decision involves multiple documents spread across several PDFs, financial statements, guarantee deeds, borrower presentations, market studies, and cross-checking all of it manually is time-consuming and error-prone. On top of that, not all platforms carry the same risk profile, and within a given platform, individual projects vary significantly. I was trying to track all of this in spreadsheets. It did not scale.

So I built CrowdPickr, a structured scoring and due diligence tool for crowdlending investors in France. At its core is a rigorous methodology that evaluates investments at two levels: platform scoring, which assesses the track record, reliability and risk profile of each crowdlending platform, and project scoring, which analyses each individual opportunity across dimensions like financial solidity, guarantee quality, borrower track record, and sector risk.

The combination of both levels is what makes the difference: a good project on a weak platform is still a risk, and a strong platform does not make every project worth funding. CrowdPickr brings structure to that judgment, with the goal of improving yield and reducing risk over time for investors on platforms like Tudigo, Homunity, La Premiere Brique, Baltis, and others.
